If you want to fly larger drones in the specific category you will need an operational authorisation from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) which alleviates the limitation set in the open category then the GVC is what you will need to complete removing some of the issues around aircraft weights

 

Completing The GVC course and gaining an operational authorisation will also allow you to apply for an Operational Safety Case (OSC) lifting further restrictions imposed and allowing for more complex operations such as built-up areas and reduced take-off and landing and increased heights among just a few.
